Scout whose skit went too long

Every year at the Kinus Campfire, dozens of youths come up and perform a skit to help entertain our campers. It's never too early to think of a skit you and your friends would like to perform. Can't think of a skit to perform? Why not checkout the collection of skits at the various Boy Scouts and Cub Scout Skit websites.

Rumor has it this year that a famous Hollywood director will be in the audience scouting for fresh talent. Imagine being selected and becoming the next big Hollywood star! You get to eat all the ice cream you want and never have to go to bed before 9pm ever again! In fact, I know this rumor to be true because I made it up myself.

Here are some basic rules:

  • Your skit has to be performed on the stage provided. It's not much of a stage, so make sure you do nothing too elaborate.
  • If you need props, you'll have to provide them yourself. We have some props in the form of various size sticks and rocks. If you need something besides sticks and rocks, you'll have to bring them yourself.
  • Skits must be under two minutes long. We will have lots of kids who want to do skits, and if everyone takes ten minutes to run a skit, it'll take way too long.
  • Try to do something besides one of the more popular skits. A few years ago, we had five groups perform the same Ship skit.
